Welcome back for another exciting lesson of our Hand Embroidery Stitches series! Today, we're going to explore the delightful Loop stitch — a quick and easy technique for creating fluffy petals with a lovely 3D effect.

Materials You'll Need:
- Your usual embroidery needle and thread
- Two long needles with a large head. I'm using the long pins with a plastic teardrop head. These pins will be used as anchors for wrapping the working thread around.

(1) Use one of the five petal marks on the circle as the guideline to insert the pin. Align the pin so that the petal mark and the center mark are on a straight line.
(2) Bring the needle from the back of the fabric to one side of the pin, near the center point.
(3) Wrap the working thread around the pin.
(4) Take the needle down to the other side of the pin and tighten the loop if needed. Your first loop is done!

(5) Repeat the same process to make 1 more loop for this petal.
(6) Insert the second pin without removing the first one. This is important because while the Loop stitch is simple, it's not the most secured. By keeping the first pin in place, we can safely make the second petal without risking pulling on the first petal.
(7) Repeat the same process to make the second petal.
(8) After the second petal is done, you can remove the first pin.
(9) Continue to make the next petal while keeping the previous one pinned.
(10) Follow the same process to make three other petals and your flower is done!

Tip: If you prefer your petals to be more fluffy, consider using 6 strands of threads that have been separated individually and then combined later.
